The University of Hawaii remained golden in overtime.

Krystal Pascua scored in the second OT on Sunday night to lift the Rainbow Wahine past UC Riverside 2-1 at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex on Oahu.

The Rainbow Wahine (6-6, 1-1 Big West) fell behind when Blanca Barrio scored in the 79th minute for the Highlanders (5-4-3, 0-1-1).

But Storm Kenui answered just 25 seconds later, beating a defender to the ball and netting her team-high fifth goal of the season.

UH improved to 3-0 in overtime matches this year when Sonest Furtado took a run down the right flank in the 103rd minute and sent a cross that Riverside couldn’t clear. Pascua ripped a shot from 12 yards out for her fourth goal of the season.

The Wahine put 10 of 15 shots on frame in a matchup of the league’s two highest-scoring teams. They allowed only eight shots.
